SUMMARY:Aqua Booty Returns to Haven
DESCRIPTION:Aqua Booty Returns to Haven\nProperly Stirred and Obsidian Thursdays Present\nEric Kupper - Jeannie Hopper – Greg Cuoco\n \nNew York City, USA, July 3rd, 2010. New York City’s premier mid-week club night is back once again in conjunction with Aqua-Booty. After the success of the first Obsidian Thursdays - Aqua Booty venture, the second collaboration will commence on Thursday, 15th July, 2010.\nProperly Stirred, the events and hosting company behind the Obsidian Thursdays concept launched the weekday club night back in June, with the first outing playing host to dance music legend Tony Humphries. This time around the DJ lineup is equally as impressive with DJs Jeannie Hopper, Eric Kupper and Aqua Booty resident Greg Cuoco in attendance. \nProperly Stirred is on a mission to host not just the biggest names in dance music, but to entertain the Obsidian crowd with innovators and big personalities. The first DJ on the bill is exactly that. Described by Muzik Magazine as, “The DJ who is devoted to exposing soul infused grooves of all persuasions”, Jeannie Hopper fits the Obsidian trendsetting concept to a tee. Her Saturday night ‘Liquid Sound Lounge’ show on WBAI 99.5 FM is the longest running prime time radio show in New York City (Est. 1993), and Jeannie is famed for her mixture of soulful based electronic and live music. A well respected DJ unafraid to play against popular music trends, Jennie Hopper remains a sought after personality throughout the New York Club scene.\nAlongside Jeannie Hopper will be the multi-talented Eric Kupper. Eric is an all round musician. A talented DJ, producer and instrumentalist, he started his career in the 80s as a keyboardist, guitarist and songwriter. In his early years he worked with the likes of David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Arthur Baker, Mark Kamins, Justin Strauss, Peter Rauhofer and Richie Jones. Eric’s escalation through the music industry was a fast one, and in addition to being one of the first 5 Hed Kandi DJs, Eric has remixed some of the biggest names in music, including Garbage, Usher, Alicia Keys, Afrika Bambataa, Whitney Houston, Marianne Faithful, Goldfrap, New Order, Depeche Mode, Kate Bush, Robert Palmer and more. Having played on, remixed and/or produced over 1700 records, Eric Kupper is widely considered as one of the founders of modern day house music.\nAqua Booty founder Greg Cuoco wraps up the roster for this special event. Greg’s Aqua Booty night has been in effect for 17 years, coincidently kicking off in the same year as Jeannie Hopper’s WBAI radio show. Aqua Booty was born out of one room at a night called ‘House Nation’ back in the 90s, since then the New York weekly has been providing clubbers with a policy of strictly good times and seriously good music. Aqua Booty and Obsidian Thursdays passion for funky, soul fuelled music makes this collaboration an essential attendance for New Yorkers seeking a momentary escape from the working week. \nObsidian Thursdays provide awesome music and delicious food for sexy and sophisticated people every Thursday night at a venue in New York City.\nFor further information on Properly Stirred and Obsidian Thursdays please visit \nwww.properlystirred.com \n \nMarketing and PR by LMC Media Solutions: www.writetherightway.com \n \nName: Obsidian Thursdays\nHosts: Chris 'London' H | Oke | Cyrus | Jade Event\nMusic: Eric Kupper - Jeannie Hopper – Greg Cuoco\nVenue: Haven – 244 E 51ST ST bet 2nd & 3rd AVES, NEW YORK, NY 10022 (212.906.9066)\nAdmission: $10 General, VIP Tickets available: www.ProperlyStirred.com\nTime: 10PM – 4AM\nSubways: 4, 6 to 51ST St / Lexington Ave; E, V to Lexington Ave / 53rd St; N, R, W to Lexington Ave / 59th St\nBuses: M15, M98, M101, M102, M103 to 51st ST; M27, M50 to 2nd Ave & 50th St\n\n______________________________\nThis Event Downloaded From a Helios Calendar Powered Site

This Thursday will be business as usual for Aqua Booty as Obsidian Thursdays presents a night of deep and soulful house music.\nObsidian Thursdays is the brainchild of planning and hosting group ProperlyStirred, who are on a mission to change the face of New York nightlife with a weekly theme centered on the conscious modern individual. Obsidian Thursdays is poised to gather New York’s eclectic, artistic, cultured, and socially aware community under one roof for gatherings of innovative music and stimulating sociality. \nNothing could fit the Obsidian concept more appropriately than the presence of native New York trendsetter Tony Humphries. From there the night was given its very own weekly event at ‘The Bar Room’ on 14th St. starting out in the meatpacking district of New York, Greg and Johnny took the event to London and the Miami Winter Music Conference. This success also led to the formation of Aqua Booty Records where Greg applies his production skills to wax. \nLast on the line-up but certainly not least, is Sicilian music guru Raf DJ of ‘Raf n’ Soul records fame. Resident dance music superstar Tony Humphries will be gracing the wheels of steel alongside Greg Cuoco, Aqua Booty founder, and Raf DJ, Sicily’s finest house music export. \nSince 1993, Aqua Booty has graced NYC and other major cities around the world with the finest DJs, cutting edge music and unrivalled atmosphere. Steering clear of columnist pigeon holing, Aqua Booty has manage to avoid pretense and ego, preferring to maintain a policy of strictly good vibes for sensible clubbers. The DJ Producer famed for his ‘Hump in the Homefries’ brand of up-tempo soul music personifies the ProperlyStirred event style. Humphries is a seasoned globe trotter having played in over 300 venues and clocked up over 200 studios remixes. The ex Ministry of Sound resident has remixed artists from Chaka Khan, Karen White, Regina Belle and Donna Summer, through to the Jungle Brothers, Queen Latifah and The Cover Girls. A well loved and highly respected veteran in his field, there is no one better suited to give birth to the Obsidian conception. \nAccompanying the dance music guru is Aqua Booty founder Greg Cuoco. Greg founded the night back in the 90’s along with Johnny Sender after the chance hosting of a room at an afterhours party named ‘House Nation’. Raf’s career has been marked by continuous success since winning an Island Media Records award in the cutting and scratching category back in 1993. Raf DJ has worked in tandem with some of dance music’s finest including Tony Humphries, Danny Buddha Morales, Junior Sanchez, Paolo Martini and Claudio Coccoluto. No stranger to the New York City Nightlife, Raf was recently entertaining New York clubbers with a special mix on the popular Jeanie Hopper WBAI 99.5 NYC radio show.\nNew York Thursdays look set for positive long-term change, and about time too – the city that never sleeps has been rather tired of late, and a night for creative, food loving, and travel savvy people has been an absent want for far too long. \nObsidian Thursdays will be starting off at the Haven and potentially moving around the city on a weekly basis providing New York clubbing ‘trendies’ with a second home to kick off an early weekend.\n \nFor further information on Properly Stirred and Obsidian Thursdays please visit \nwww.ProperlyStirred.com\n \nMarketing and PR by LMC Media Solutions: www.writetherightway.com \nAdmission:\n$10 General, Free on Guest List www.ProperlyStirred.com\nTime: 10PM – 4AM\nTransportation:\nSubways: 4, 6 to 51ST St / Lexington Ave; E, V to Lexington Ave / 53rd St; N, R, W to Lexington Ave / 59th St\nBuses: M15, M98, M101, M102, M103 to 51st ST; M27, M50 to 2nd Ave & 50th St\n\n______________________________\nThis Event Downloaded From a Helios Calendar Powered Site

SUMMARY:Thursday Night New York Clubbing Set To Be Reborn
DESCRIPTION:ProperlyStirred and Obsidian Thursdays Presents \nAqua-Booty\nTony Humphries – Greg Cuoco - Raf DJ\n \nThis coming Thursday, 17th June, 2010, the legendary Aqua-Booty party appears at The Haven, NYC, courtesy of ProperlyStirred and Obsidian Thursdays, a new event set to reignite the 3-day weekend. Raf’s career has been marked by continuous success since winning an Island Media Records award in the cutting and scratching category back in 1993.

Aqua Booty and Obsidian Thursdays passion for funky, soul fuelled music makes this collaboration an essential attendance for New Yorkers seeking a momentary escape from the working week. \nObsidian Thursdays provide awesome music and delicious food for sexy and sophisticated people every Thursday night at a venue in New York City.\nFor further information on Properly Stirred and Obsidian Thursdays please visit \nwww.properlystirred.com \n \nMarketing and PR by LMC Media Solutions: www.writetherightway.com \n \nName: Obsidian Thursdays\nHosts: Chris 'London' H | Oke | Cyrus | Jade Event\nMusic: Eric Kupper - Jeannie Hopper – Greg Cuoco\nVenue: Haven – 244 E 51ST ST bet 2nd & 3rd AVES, NEW YORK, NY 10022 (212.906.9066)\nAdmission: $10 General, VIP Tickets available: www.ProperlyStirred.com\nTime: 10PM – 4AM\nSubways: 4, 6 to 51ST St / Lexington Ave; E, V to Lexington Ave / 53rd St; N, R, W to Lexington Ave / 59th St\nBuses: M15, M98, M101, M102, M103 to 51st ST; M27, M50 to 2nd Ave & 50th St\n\n______________________________\nThis Event Downloaded From a Helios Calendar Powered Site
